  13. The game DUNE II does not produce digitised sound but still play music when 
  14. Sound Blaster mode is selected.

  19. The game DUNE II will detect the Sound Blaster card based on the BLASTER 
  20. environment and it is UPPER CASE SENSITIVE. The following BLASTER 
  21. environment examples show DUNE II detection of Sound Blaster address:-

  23. BLASTER = A220 IX DX TX    Detection of SB at address 220H
  24. BLASTER = a220 IX DX TX    SB detected at default address 220H
  25. BLASTER = A240 IX DX TX    Detection of SB at address 240H
  26. BLASTER = a240 IX DX TX    SB detected at default address 220H
  27. BLASTER = SB detected at default address 220H
  28.  
  29. DUNE II will default to address 220H for Sound Blaster when the BLASTER 
  30. environment is not set or user had use 'a' instead of 'A'.

  33. Solution/Action

  35. The following remedy actions are to be taken to  correct the problem :-
  36.  
  37. 1. Request user to type 'set' at the DOS prompt and check that the BLASTER 
  38.    environment is set-up.
  39.  
  40. 2. Ensure that user had use 'A' and not 'a' when they set-up the BLASTER 
  41.    environment in their AUTOEXEC.BAT.
